1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Hungry for Gluten Free helps guide users toward potential dining locations suitable for gluten-free and gluten-sensitive diets. Restaurant suggestions, safety/food-hygiene ratings, and related information are generated through a combination of AI-based reasoning and real user-submitted feedback and reviews, alongside location-based search, maps, and favourite lists.

While we work to improve the accuracy and reliability of the App's suggestions and ratings over time — including refining our AI reasoning and incorporating user feedback — we cannot guarantee accuracy, and the disclaimers below still apply in full.

3. Accounts

You can browse and search the App without an account. To save restaurants to favourite lists or submit reviews, you need to create an account, either with an email address and password or through Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google.

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date;
• Keep your password confidential and not share your account with anyone else;
• Take responsibility for all activity that happens under your account;
• Tell us promptly at hungryforglutenfree@gmail.com if you suspect someone has accessed your account without permission.

You can change your name or password, or permanently delete your account, from the Account screen in the App. Deleting your account removes your favourite lists and reviews and cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription, so cancel it separately through your app store account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

The App may offer premium features available via paid subscription, processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and managed using RevenueCat.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — we do not process cancellations directly.
• Your subscription is tied to the Apple ID or Google Play account you used to buy it, not to your Hungry account. Signing in or out of the App does not affect it. On a new device or after reinstalling, use "Restore Purchases" while signed in to the same app store account.
• Prices are subject to change; we will provide notice of any price changes as required by applicable law and app store policies.
• No refunds are provided by us directly; refund requests are subject to the applicable app store's refund policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Submit false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent restaurant information or reviews;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other users' accounts, or our systems;
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers;
• Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the App without our written permission;
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation;
• Create multiple or fake accounts to manipulate restaurant ratings or reviews.

6. User-Generated Content

If you submit reviews, ratings, restaurant requests, or other content ("User Content"), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute that content within the App and related promotional materials. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to review, moderate, edit, or remove User Content at our discretion, including content we believe is inaccurate, inappropriate, or violates these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, logos, graphics, and underlying software, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license to use the App for its intended purpose, no rights are granted to you.

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services, including:

• Supabase, for data storage, the backend, and account authentication;
• Google Maps Platform, for maps, place search suggestions, and restaurant photos;
• Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google, for optional account sign-in;
• One or more AI/large language model providers, which help generate restaurant suggestions and reasoning from publicly available restaurant and menu information. We do not send your personal or account data to these AI providers;
• RevenueCat, for subscription billing;
• PostHog, for analytics, session recordings, and crash reporting.

Your use of the App is also subject to the applicable terms and policies of these providers. In particular, by using the App's map and place features you agree to be bound by the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy, reliability, or completeness of restaurant or dietary information — including information generated using AI-based reasoning or submitted by other users. We do not warrant that any suggestion, rating, or review is correct, current, or safe to rely on, or that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we, our officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind — including but not limited to allergic reactions, illness, injury, or death — arising out of or related to your reliance on any AI-generated suggestion, rating, review, or other information provided in the App, your selection of or experience at any restaurant, loss of data, or loss of profits. You acknowledge that you use the App, and choose where to dine, entirely at your own risk and discretion.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. To remove the data linked to your account, delete your account from the Account screen in the App. To remove data stored only on your device, uninstall the App or clear its app data.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where local consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective Date" above and, where required, provide additional notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
