  • Fish and chips

    Wolfies Of Hove

Although Wolfies isn’t a dedicated GF chip shop, they advertise GF fish and chips. The staff checked with the chef that there were dedicated fryers for the fish and chips and mentioned all the vinegar is gluten free. One happy coeliac, having proper chip shop chips. A classic meal for a sunny day.

  • Cafe

    Moksha Cafe

The waitress was also coeliac, so could vouch for the kitchen’s safety and told me they have a separate fryer. There were lots of options, but I chose the falafel dish, which came with chips and homemade GF bread. When the food arrived, it didn’t disappoint: it was delicious. Such a good cafe.

  • Indian

    Indian Summer

They were super accommodating and knew what was safe to eat; the waiter talked me through the whole menu and their kitchen setup. I picked the vegetarian thali so I could try a range of curries. There was a great variety of flavours and textures, and the naan was swapped for a dosa, so I didn’t miss out.

Always double-check with the venue before you go. A rating is a starting point, not a guarantee.
